Preliminary Task: In Depth Magazine Cover
Hey there ! So if you were here before you know that, I created this amazing magazine cover !
Here today I want to start my breakdowns of each of the elements I've showed you all before and the structure and creating process of my magazine.
To begin with, I want to touch on the background photo "Senior Zone", that you see appearing on a sign. This picture I took when I was in Atlanta on a business college tour trip. This picture definitely correlated with me because I felt as if Senior Year should be emphasized and this was the best way to implement it. I took this picture not even realizing it was using the deep shot technique. If you don't remember, I mentioned that deep shot focus is a technique in which everything in the picture is being focused, not just one subject throughout the picture.
I created the topics/headers to go within the magazine by searching up examples. As previously stated, I mentioned that this is my first time making something of this nature, so I'm a bit inexperienced. But by looking at some references for assistance I think I added some great components.
A few small things you should pay attention to:
- Issue number
-Date/ Year of "publishing"
-Barcode
I added different eye catchers to grab the audiences attention. My target audience is supposed to be Senior Athletes in high school transitioning to college. You can tell this not only by the title of the magazine but, the topics show things relating to being enrolled into college. Such as: Cap advisors, GPAs, and offers.
Being a student athlete myself, I love the fact that I can relate so heavily with the topic of my magazine and I can also grasp and capture my peers around me.
I feel as though using deep focus and bold print for the header for the picture definitely helped also grab the readers' attention. Senior Year is something that's super important so I believe any opportunities for advice, or just a helping hand throughout the most important part in your life.
But with that being said, Thanks for stopping by ! Hope to see you again !
