Starting Our Magazine; What's New?/ Audience Demographics

 


Hi there ! So I know in the last blog I mentioned that, my class was assigned to look through and see what exact topic we were interested in doing. It took us a few weeks to actually verify what exactly wanted to do as specifically me and my group wanted. We definitely went through many different topics such as, sports medicine magazines, home and lifestyle, latest fashion and more. Down below you can see covers of some of the ones we were using for insporation. We felt as though the options we chose were not too appealing and are usually common, of course having magazine competitions is always an option in the media industry, but we though outside the box of why not do something many people have to figure out about in life; Women's lifestyle; motherhood. This topic has a few magazine companies who publish these topics, but not as many as needed. Women's lifestyle is such a broad topic there's Many different ideas every person can choose in our group, but for our sake and usage at the moment, motherhood is what caught the eye and will be our topic for building up our magazine. 

Our Audience would mainly be 

-Young women between the ages of 18-30+

-Motherhood

-Women Struggles

-Urban Street Wear/Current Fashion

-Women Lifestyle 

-All young women of every culture

If you're interested in doing your own research on magazine covers, they're usually very easy to find especially when dealing with online magazines also !
