Feature Story Practice
Hello everybody !
We're back! We're actually in preparation for my personal magazine so we've been assigned to partners to practice on how we're going to write our final feature story. My partners name is Victoria which is a fellow classmate of mine.
What mostly inspires you in life, what keeps you motivated?
What mostly inspires me in life is my mom. My mom is now a single parent with 2 kids and takes everything on, I really admire how she's so independent and does everything in such a carefree manner and makes things happen for her kids.
What made you decide that you wanted to come to public high school?
What made me decide that I wanted to come to public school was the want for experience. Being homeschooled for the last 3 years, I've never really had a social experience outside of my family.
Longing for this experience since an adolescent, my mom suggested that I come back for senior year. The choice I made for it being this high school, made me feel at home and I fell in love with the school immediately.
What made you the person that you are today?
Experiences, Teachings from my mom, God, experiences from people who love me and who don’t.
How do you feel about the latest society and its issues?
Society is very lost, point in time where everything will go down hill and build itself back up.
How would you improve classrooms/ school decorum as a whole?
I would improve classrooms decorum as a whole by making classes smaller, employ more teachers, make it a more one on one experience, step away from technology.
What's your dream career, steps to get there ?
District Attorney; undergrad in yale major in english/psychology and minor criminology.
How was your childhood growing up?
Fun and spontaneous; mom calls her, her best friend, hot cocoa and cuban bread at 2am.
Sitting inside of a small classroom, barely lit with sensitive lightbulbs, I sat across from Victoria. Such a wonderful personality who continues to push herself when times get rough. Being homeschooled has transformed into such a unique living space/morals. Being a senior in highschool, in Miami, you learn to recognize a plethora of many different ethnicities, race, and most of all, personality.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my practice lead story ! See you next time !
