  Hi there or Welcome Back ! Today we're going to do our revised magazine cover and begin to analyze the new changes.  As stated before there were plenty mistakes on the original magazine cover, the colors were overlapping and contrasting, many of the themes didn't correlate and it just wasn't the best magazine cover.  On the left you can see the elements used to make a magazine, a magazine. You have the barcode on the right hand side and the issue and month/year on the left in a nice font size that is showing, then on top you can see in bold print we have the topic or masthead of the magazine. This topic I decided to change because, the title was too general for senior student athletes. I made the senior athletes a sub-topic for this magazine to make things more open so I can do more things for more double spreads.  The font and size is consistent here on the magazine and the elements of the topics and the quote that's incorporated.   Hi there !  Today we're here for a moment of transparency. My group that consist of, Mya, Janaysa and Nicky.  As you all know we are creating our own magazine for class. Having this magazine for class has not only been a bit stressful but it's also been a moment of a clash of creativity.  We're going to take a bit of a break on the group magazine as we revise and edit the preliminary task that we done because I found some faults in them and I want to get not only better camera shots and angles but also, a better understanding of what I'm doing now that I've done enough research as I went along the way of finding out what's exactly expected when doing things of this sort.  Working with the group, I realized I must execute as well as I do in a group as well as individually, so let's take a journey and revise, edit, and correct preliminary task and elements of my own magazine layout. We've recently spoke on previously, different camera angles and shots and a little on lighting.  Being in this class has made me view tv shows and movies truly differently than what I'm normally used to and it's a bit crazy how much we miss out on within the elements of media.  But anyways, on another note, today we're going to be talking about editing and how exactly each one differs and gives off a certain effect.  We're only going to speak on a few this topic so your brain isn't as mind blown with so much information.      So first up we have, eyeliner match.   Hi there !  I'm back ! If you've been watching the progression of the blogs, you've been able to see my knowledge expand on magazines, blog creation, canva design and aspects/ hard work when it comes to building these certain items.  Another aspect that we're tapping into is, house styles.  House styles everyone may not know what exactly the term means, and I necessarily didn't ever but house styles are a specific editing types that editors follow within magazine guidelines. If you remember being in grade/secondary school, it's a bit similar to the rules and guidelines you have to use for that, just a bit more precise. When I speak on precise I mean, the rules on, abbreviations, capital letters, numbers, date formats, citations, spelling and terms of address. Of course it's not an outline on how extreme a magazine can be done within the double spreads, etc. but it's a general statement that it voices their creativity as an author or writer.   Hi there ! So I know in the last blog I mentioned that, my class was assigned to look through and see what exact topic we were interested in doing. It took us a few weeks to actually verify what exactly wanted to do as specifically me and my group wanted. We definitely went through many different topics such as, sports medicine magazines, home and lifestyle, latest fashion and more. Down below you can see covers of some of the ones we were using for insporation. We felt as though the options we chose were not too appealing and are usually common, of course having magazine competitions is always an option in the media industry, but we though outside the box of why not do something many people have to figure out about in life; Women's lifestyle; motherhood. Hi there ! So as you all know, we are creating our own personal magazine ! When dealing with a magazine, there's many components and aspects that we don't know where they truly originated from or, who exactly created the format and the history behind the magazines, so let's talk about it ! To begin with, the first official magazine to ever be published was in Germany during the 17th century, when looking at how much attraction it received and seeing how much informal the magazine became, it almost became a trend and spread across Europe.  When it came to officially publishing back then, many people did not have a true source to fact check the information put in the magazines nor did they even have information to input as often so this led to irregularity.
